Anton Wilhelm Amo vs Immanuel Kant
What
Who has not heard of Immanuel Kant? But: how many people have heard (or read) of Anton Wilhelm Amo? How did e.g. Immanuel Kant write about people of other cultures? What did Immanuel Kant write about women?
And: why is e.g. Anton Wilhelm Amo not (at least in a few footnotes?) mentioned in e.g. so called "legal introductory"-scripts (of legal philosophy), e.g. at the University of Vienna?
Furthermore, we are to mention some (critical) aspects e.g. with respect to the (so called) "Holy" Bartolomé de Las Casas and some of his ideas with respect to Afro-american people.
We are also casting doubt on the question Immanuel Kant is presented e.g. to students, e.g. in text books with respect to so called *universal* human rights, focussing on the question why Kant's *shameful* racist and misogynist texts are hardly ever mentioned (e.g. at universities).
Another aspect will be the life of Anton Wilhelm Amo, his scientific fields of research, his success in the field of the so called "noumenon" ("Ding an sich"), whereby we are to cast light on the question inhowfar Amo influenced e.g. Immanuel Kant.
Furthermore, we are also to ask whether e.g. Austria should not *also* rewarded some critical scientists a so called Anton-Wilhelm-Amo-Preis with respect to questions of intercultural and anti-racist activities, texts, ideas ...

Kant and antijudaism
Immanuel Kant should be presented **(much) more critical**, especially when it comes to his words and thoughts e.g. about Jewish people, the racist nonsense he (re-)produced with respect to e.g. Jews. Unfortunately, Kant is - be it textbooks of law, e.g. in Vienna, be it philosophical texts, be it texts of legal philosophy or criminal law - often only positively or rather positively presented towards students.

To my mind, it is not only a problem but a (strong) fault not to also mention the sad aspects of e.g. Immanuel Kant with the aim not to (sort of) "glorify" Kant or "romantize" what Kant (also) wrote (and thought);
furthermore, we should try to find better examples of those who truly supported e.g. the idea of universal human rights ...
